Rumuors are not always far from the truth. This is in deed the case concerning earlier claims about UK based reggae/pop band UB40 gracing the country, especially after the band dismissing the claims late last year. UB40 will and will not be performing in Kenya. Confused? don’t be. Allow me to break it down for you.
UB40 lead singer Ali Campbell, whose face and voice comes to mind whenever the band is mentioned, left the group in 2008 after disputes with the management and continued his career as a solo artist. He reunited with his former band members Astro and Mickey Virtue in 2014 and continued recording music under the name UB40 reunited, outside the Official UB40.
The trio is holding a world tour dubbed “A Real Labour of Love” and are expected to perform in Kenya on Saturday – 1st February 2020. The concert will go down at the Carnivore Restaurant as gates open from 2 pm till late.
Reggae lovers in the 254 are in for a treat as they anticipate to vibe to classics like ‘Reasons’, ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Kingston Town’, ‘The Way You Do the Things You Do’ among other jams. Thinking of a way to woo that special someone, well look no further 😉.
