Safaricom Changes Mpesa logo in support of Eliud Kipchoge

Kenya’s leading mobile money transfer M-Pesa is changing its logo for a period of one week. This is to rally behind marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge as he tries to run 42km in under 2 hours in Vienna, Austria’s capital on Saturday in a campaign dubbed INEOS 1:59 Challenge.

The unveiling of the new logo was done by Safaricom Boss Michael Joseph early on Wednesday morning.

In a post shared to the public through its social media platforms, Safaricom is providing free YouTube for its customers from 8 am to 4 pm to stream live the race on the D-Day.
