The crowning of Khaligraph Jones as the best hip hop artist in Africa by Soundcity MVP awards over the weekend did not sit well with self-proclaimed BRIA ( best rapper in Africa) Blaqbonez from Nigeria. Blaqbonez was the first to throw a salvo by claiming on his Instagram page that Khaligraph did not deserve the award and that Soundcity had made a mistake.

This obviously warranted a reply from the O.G who also made several posts on his Instagram and Twitter page warning the Nigerian rapper to apologize before he dropped a diss track. Blaqbonez did not apologize and hence Khaligraph headed to the Studio and had Motiff turn him up on them headphones (pun intended).

In a three minute song titled Best Rapper in Nigeria Khaligraph went ham on the Shut Up hitmaker also dragging other Nigerian rappers who have allegedly turned hip hop to Afro-pop. The song had Khaligraph trending at number one on Nigerian Twitter with Nigerians sharing their varied opinions about the diss track. Watch the diss track below.

By the time of going to publish Khaligraph’s diss track was trending on YouTube at number 3 in Kenya.

Caving into the pressure from his countrymen to save the country’s face (Nigeria) Blaqbonez has now released a reply to the diss track titled Green Blaq Green. In the bars packed track the Chocolate City signee responds to lines from Khaligraph and also mentions Khaligraph’s lack of sense of style in his dressing. Watch the video below
