A Kenyan passenger travelling from Guangzhou China has been quarantined at the Kenyatta National Hospital after showing flu-like symptoms. The passenger who is a student studying in the Asian country currently facing an outbreak of the deadly Novel Corona Virus arrived in Kenya abode flight KQ886 from Guangzhou to Nairobi.
The identity of the student in his early 20s is yet to be revealed. The incident has raised tension in the country since the student comes from the Wuhan region in China that is seen as the epicentre of the virus. The virus has already claimed 26 lives in China and its infection rate stood at more than 4500 at the time of going to press. Other regions across the globe are putting measures to curb the growing menace.
The Ministry of Health is yet to make a public statement at the writing of this article.
