JKUAT Juja Shutdown Indefinitely Following Students’ Strike

Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology, Juja has been indefinitely shut down. This is according to a memo addressed to all students in session signed by Prof. Robert Kinyua the acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

The memo further ordered the students to vacate the premises by 12 midday on 11th Monday 2019.

This was after students engaged in running battles with the police for the better part of the day (when juugoing to press calm had not yet been restored). This was after students were dissatisfied by steps taken by the school administration and the security officers based at Juja Police Station to solve insecurity in the area
