Jahmby Koikai known to many of her fans by her stage name fayah mama Jahmby is finally back on her feet and doing what she does best, entertain. Jahmby is the official mc of the NRGWAVE Buju Banton concert slated for 8th February at KICC.

Jahmby who is a popular media personality is known by many for her love for reggae. She is among the few female reggae enthusiasts in the country. About four years ago, she was diagnosed with stage 4 thoracic endometriosis, a condition that made her lungs collapse during menstruation since the disease had spread to her lungs and other organs as well.

She received treatment in the country for some time but soon she had to fly to the states. During her time at the hospital, Jahmby narrated her ordeal through her socials. She narrated how intense and painful the therapies were, how she underwent 21 surgeries and how in 3 years the endo had spread to her lungs and fully manifested itself through lung collapses in 2017.

Ok confirmed. Your EMCEE for the BUJU BANTON SHOW 8TH FEB 2020. KICC

The condition wreaked financial havoc to her family since the treatment process was very expensive but thanks to the amazing support system of the friends who stood with her and other well-wishers, she was able to foot all her medical bills. Jahmby also remained strong and positive throughout the whole treatment process. She also had her mother by her side and the overwhelming messages from her friends to keep her going.

After a four year battle with endo, Jahmby finally beat it and returned to the country late last year around September. Her fans were ecstatic for her return and so many people welcomed her back.

She has since started her media interviews and her mc roles at 1824 on reggae Wednesdays and at Vineyard on reggae Tuesdays alongside selector Technix and DJ Double Trouble.
