Fundis Fix It, a Kenyan tech startup that provides access to work for blue-collar specialists has won this year’s chapter of Global Students Entrepreneurship Award. The award seeks to recognize and award students who juggle between class and business and do good in both fields. Fundis Fix It won $1000 courtesy of Entrepreneurship Organisation Kenya and will represent Kenya on the global stage in South Africa in April 2020.
Speaking shortly after the win, Silvia Wambui the Chief Operations Officer said, “I am out of words and very grateful to my team for the win”. She also congratulated the other finalists of the competition that saw 54 participants from all over the country pitch their business ideas. The finals saw four finalists: Benacare Ltd, Grubbys Kenya, Fundis Fix It and The Life of a Foodie battle it out in front of the business savvy judges from across the world.
