The long wait for Jamaican reggae crooner Buju Banton is finally over after major setbacks and postponements. The Wanna Be Loved hit maker jetted into the country on Thursday. He is expected to bring down the house at KICC headlining the #NRGWAVE Legends Edition on Saturday 15 February.

Buju was slated to perform in Kenyan during the NYE NRG Radio extravaganza in Mombasa dubbed #NRGWAVE Festival but was a no show. He however promised his fans to perform in Nairobi on 8th February but the show was rescheduled to 15th February for Kenyans to mourn and view the body of the second president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi at the same venue.

A statement posted on the official website NRG Radio promised the fans a great show and also promised to honour all the tickets that had been purchased before. “Please be advised that we shall honour all the tickets already purchased, all sponsors and Partners.Our line-up remains the same and Buju Bunton is fired up to deliver a great show. We are committed to ensure that we live up to all our fans expectations.”

Buju’s die-hard fans that thronged JKIA to receive him expressed their joy and eagerness to see him perform in Nairobi. The show is set to start at 1800hrs.
